History of Pasquales

Back in 1959, a young Mario Stockdale and his brother, Pasquale, started up a family pizzeria and Italian restaurant in Fort Dodge, a mid-sized community in north central Iowa.

Using sauce and sausage recipes that originated with their mother, Rose Schiponi, they added a perfectly tossed crust and topped it with the freshest flavorful ingredients, starting a Pasquale’s tradition that parents have been sharing with their children ever since.

In 1961, Mario became the sole owner of Pasquale’s, which is still run by the Stockdale family and headquartered in nearby Humboldt, Iowa. Pasquale’s distinctive flavor and family dining experience are cherished by the hundreds who visit our restaurant weekly – and missed by the thousands who grew up with Pasquale’s but have moved away.

Heck, the local factory workers like Pasquale’s so much that they have lunch meals delivered right to their door.

And Pasquale’s still keeps the Italian-style family menu, including our succulent pizza, pastas, sandwiches, salads and more.

Pasquale’s Frozen Pizza joins the family

In 1985, Pasquale’s Food Service introduced a fresh frozen pizza to the state of Iowa. Starting out with just one cargo van and a freezer, Pasquale’s Frozen Pizza now produces several thousand pizzas per day and distributes them to supermarkets, convenience stores, bars and restaurants across the Midwest.
